Rich robust flavor with masses of sugar and acidity and crisp juicy flesh. One of the strongest-flavored apples comparable to Ashmeads Kernel. Apples red or with red flush and larger than either parent. Flowers are large and beautiful. Susceptible to apple scab and grows best in cooler summer areas.

Attains peak fresh eating quality in January or February. Keeps in storage through April. Moderately vigorous spreading tree. Resistant to fire blight and cedar apple rust.
Kerry Pippin
Origin: Ireland 1802 Ripens: Aug Zone: 3 - 6
Small shiny yellow fruit sometimes striped red in the sun. The crisp, crunchy, hard flesh has an intriguing flavor which, after much discussion and tasting, we can only characterize as a hint of boysenberry. Delicious!
Kidds Orange Red
Origin: New Zealand 1924 Ripens: Sept Zone: 4 - 7
Pink, crimson flush, some stripes over pale yellow skin with russet dots. Medium size, conic, slightly ribbed, hybrid of Cox Orange Pippin, that does better in warm climates than Cox. Rich balance of sugar, acidity and aromatics, with a hint of violets. Upright, vigorous tree.
King Luscious
Origin: North Carolina in 1935 Ripens: Oct Zone: 3 - 6
The skin is greenish-yellow covered with deep red and overlaid with darker red striping. The flesh is yellowish-white, fine-grained, crisp and juicy.
Kingston Black
Origin: England 1820 Ripens: Sept/Oct Zone: 3 - 6
Apple crimson over yellow orange ground color. Bitter sharp juice ferments to a distinctively flavored hard cider without blending. Cider only, except for the very brave. Irregular growth habit.
Kinsei
Origin: Japan Ripens: Late October Zone: 3 - 9
A large blushed yellow apple that is sweet and firm. Tree resembles Golden Delicious in growth habit and production. Some calyx russetting can occur in warmer districts. Storage is rated excellent.
Knobbed Russet
