Apples the 1st Year?

Posted by John Kring on Nov 1st 2019

"Will my new trees have apples the 1st year?"

We get this question a lot.   Short answer:  Yes, you can get apples the 1st year.  Longer Answer: Don't let them have apples until year 3.  Years 1 and 2 are the time for your trees to establish themselves.   The trees need to be big enough to handle having fruit without damaging the tree.

We had one new tree sneak an apple by us this year.
